Furoshiki Wrapping Workshop

Discover furoshiki, a traditional Japanese cloth used for wrapping and carrying everyday items. This simple square piece of fabric has a long history in Japan and remains in use today. With just a few knots, it can become gift wrap, a bag, or even a stylish accessory.
The same cloth can be used in many different ways and reused many times. This reflects the Japanese idea of mottainai - a way of thinking that encourages us to appreciate what we have and avoid unnecessary waste.
During the workshop, you’ll learn some basic wrapping techniques and try them out yourself. You’ll also learn which ones work best for different purposes and how to easily bring furoshiki into your everyday life.
