Łukasz Stokłosa. Lśnienie

Paintings by Łukasz Stokłosa are presented in direct dialogue with the nineteenth-century works of Jan Matejko, opening a reflection on different ways of narrating the past and on the tradition of historical painting displayed within the interiors of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. It also offers a rare opportunity to experience this classical space from a new perspective.

Krakow
Łukasz Stokłosa. Fałszywe widoki
28 January – 5 April 2026
Bunkier Sztuki
A monographic exhibition of paintings by Łukasz Stokłosa brings together works from various series, united by the artist’s exploration of the ambiguous relationship between nature and humankind, in which he positions himself as both observer and participant. Landscapes, still lives, and portraits reveal liminal spaces where the natural merges with the artificial, challenging the assumption that what we see is stable, certain, and fully within our control.

Ewa Partum: Contemplating Art, Contemplating Love
7 March – 14 June 2026
MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków
Ewa Partum, one of the leading figures of feminist art in Poland, celebrates her 80th birthday and 60 years of artistic practice. In socialist and conservative Poland, her work was a bold female voice, employing the body, visual poetry, and performance as tools to critique patriarchy and the marginalization of women within the art world. Her signature motive – the imprint of lips – echoes the exhibition’s title, highlighting the fundamental connections between art, corporeality, sensuality, and love that run throughout Partum’s practice. The exhibition also features works by other artists, providing a broader context for her oeuvre.
