PURO Art Walks

Sunday, July 26
start 12:00
In July, we invite you to the Gdańsk edition of PURO Art Walks, which will explore the area around the Shipyard. Photography and architecture will be the main themes of the meeting. We will examine space as a vehicle for social, political, and economic ideas, visiting places that reflect both dreams of a better tomorrow and the traces of unfulfilled utopias.
The walk will begin with Nicolas Grospierre's exhibition "Permakryzys" at NOMUS, where modernism becomes the starting point for a story about memory, change, and visions of the future. We will then visit Grid ArtHub – an example of how Gdańsk's post-industrial heritage can be given new life through creativity, collaboration, and the principles of sustainable development. The walk will conclude with a meeting with Michał Szlaga, a photographer who has been documenting the transformation of the Gdańsk Shipyard for years. His multi-year project dedicated to the post-shipyard architecture has become an important testimony to the changes taking place there and has contributed to the protection of part of this unique heritage.
Join us - the walk is free of charge, but spots are limited.
Meeting point: NOMUS Nowe Muzeum Sztuki, ul. Jaracza 14, Gdańsk
